Pastor McKinley has always determined to make sure that people have every opportunity to learn from the Bible why they believe what they believe. God tells us in His Word that we should be able to give an answer to those who ask us about our faith. As a church, we believe it is important to minister to the entire family, so we teach Bible truths and principles to all ages.

Creche

A creche is provided in most services for children 3 and under so that parents may sit and listen to the teaching without being distracted (if they wish to allow us to help keep them). The creche is monitored by two ladies rotating from the caring mothers in our church.

Children’s Ministry

We have a children’s class from ages 4-12. They hear Bible accounts and practical lessons on obedience to parents, respect, kindness, and love toward others and those in authority. We believe the pivotal thing all children need to learn is to “honour their parents.” Without learning to practice this commandment, they will neither honour God nor others.

We have children’s choir mixed in our class on Sunday mornings. This teaches the importance of music in worshiping God and the power of music in the lives of people. This is a wonderful way for the children to be involved in the church worship service and be a blessing to others at an early age.

On the first and third Friday of each month we have a L.I.G.H.T. Shop and B.R.I.G.H.T Lights class (ages 10-18). Children do not have to wait until they are grown to serve God.

• The young men have a L.I.G.H.T. Shop. We strive to encourage the young men to learn to be godly leaders in character and integrity.
• The young ladies have a B.R.I.G.H.T Lights class. We try to encourage the young ladies in Being Radiant In Godliness, Holiness, and Testimony.

Discipleship

We offer one-on-one Bible studies/discipleship to help people develop a personal, passionate, and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We help them grow in their walk with the Lord, and encourage them as they take new steps of faith. We believe that discipleship is more than just a few lessons. It includes spending time together with others and demonstrating our own stand of faith in the midst of struggles. Seeing others standing on what is right by faith is a great encouragement that they can stand by faith also.

Bible Seminary Training

Whether a person feels that the Lord is calling them into the ministry, or they just long to know how to study the Bible better, or they desire to go deeper into various aspects of God and the Bible, we offer Advanced Bible Seminary classes for the serious Bible student. Our purpose is to train Men of God in the Word of God to do the Work of God through the Church of God.

Hope Biblical Counselling

We realize that all people have issues and problems that they need to speak with someone about. We offer free counselling from a biblical perspective. We offer counselling for marriage, premarital, parenting, anger, abortion, adoption, domestic violence, addictions, etc. We understand the need for someone to listen, love, and someone to lean on at times.
